1  Connor Shamblin- SR P/IF Alabama Signee, He will pitch in the low 90's with the FB with a plus slider.  Hits for power in the middle of the lineup
2 Chase Martin- SR OF/P  Austin Peay Signee, Chase will play CF and he gets great reads and gets great jumps on the ball.  Will hit for high avg & show pop
3 Juston Mask-  SR OF/IF- Juston is a true utility guy at the next level.  Great athlete with pop and speed.  Plays the game hard!
4 Jack Fite- SR IF/P- Jack will play 1st base and pitch.  Throws right/hits left.  Really strong young man and had a strong junior year.  Expect another great year from him
5 Wes Yerty- SR P/OF- Wes will be our #2 behind Shamblin.  He will pitch in the mid 80's with exceptional movement.  Breaking ball has improved tremendously this season.
6 Christian Satterfield-SR OF- Plus outfielder and expect a big year from him at the plate.  Came on strong at the end of last season and expect another big year from him.
7 Jeffrey Hamsley- JR C/OF- solid catcher who can also play OF very well.  Strong arm and has put on good weight which has helped him become a much better hitter.

 TEAM OUTLOOK:

Offense:  I believe this will be the best offensive team we have had at Briarcrest going into my 3rd season.  It is mostly a veteran lineup and when healthy I expect this team to be explosive on offense

Defense:  We have shown to be a solid defensive team so far this spring.  There will be some moving parts when we have certain guys pitching but I do not think that will hurt us.

Pitching:  Our pitching this season will include a lot of unproven guys.  Our top 3 starters are proven and I expect them to all have big years again.  The bullpen will get tested early and the unproven pitchers will be able to prove themselves quickly.

Overall outlook:  I have high expectations for this team.  We are in a different position this season after winning the Region and advancing to the state tournament in 2017.  We will not be able to surprise anyone and will need to come ready to play daily to have the kind of season we are looking to have.  Health has been a concern early on but I do expect everyone to make a full recovery and be back to help us compete every day.  This team is looking forward to accepting the challenge of winning the region & going back to the state tournament.  All of the teams in our region have improved tremendously as well so it should shape up to be an exciting year for our region!
